We have been having some really beautiful weather on the weekends lately! On the Sunday, Harvey and I drove up to Holkham to check out the beach and the estate; I'd never been before but I'd heard so much about how big and beautiful the beach is. I have to say I was still completely blown away, the beach was HUGE! You'll probably know that I bloody adore going to the beach and this was definitely no exception. Yes it was cold, and yes it is only April, but I had to just have a quick dip of my toes in the sea. It was absolutely freezing and I managed to cut the back of my foot, but it was worth it; roll on Summer!
I finally decided to do something about my hair this week. I've been feeling pretty down about it for a while (stupid and shallow, yes I know) so I booked myself in for a consultation with Julia at Salon Sixty Six. I've been going to the same salon for quite a long time now, and I feel like I've found the formula that works for me. Anyway, we decided I need balayage and highlights, and I'm booked in to go back next week for that, which I'm very excited about!
We ended the week on a total high. The weather was beautiful, and then we went for dinner with Harvey's brother and his girlfriend. We went to Trattoria Rustica, which is a (not so) little Italian restaurant on Elm Hill, one of my favourite parts of Norwich. Everything about this restaurant screams authenticity; the decoration, the food, the Italian-speaking staff and it really does have a lovely family feel to it. If you've never been, it's one that's definitely worth checking out!
