CHRISTMAS DIY: POM POM GARLANDS

I think this has to be my favourite festive DIY; I made a garland of red and green pom poms last year and I absolutely loved it, hence why I'm doing it again this year! This probably the most straightforward, and cheapest DIY decoration idea of all, but it's definitely the most time consuming.

I think it's worth the time and effort, however. If you're a big fan of traditional Christmas decoration, I'd suggest going for red and green yarn, but if you're feeling adventurous you could quite literally go for any colour you can get your hands on.

All you need is your chosen yarn and a fork. There are other ways to do it, but I'd say this is the most accessible, and really isn't that tricky. There's probably very little chance of me explaining how to do this without confusing the hell out of you, so instead I'll let you just have a little read of the 'how-to' guide below.

Seems simple enough right? In truth, it is simple, once you've gotten your head around it. I also find it strangely satisfying; it's so nice to see something physical actually being produced. Just like the feeling of taking a photo with a polaroid camera, you just can't beat it. Yes, I know I'm a loser.

If you're struggling to get in the festive spirit this year, I dare you to give this a try. Buy some yarn, put on a Christmas film and pour yourself a glass of Baileys, and you'll be humming to the tune of Silent Night before you know it.

Joking aside, let me know if you do decide to give this a try! I'd love to see what you make from your pom poms.
