MYTHIC OIL SCALP TREATMENT @ SALONSIXTYSIX

For the first time in my life, I feel like I've found the salon that I'll be going to for years/the foreseeable future.

When I had my first appointment at Salon Sixty Six, it was back in November 2015. I'd had a hair disaster, and Salon Sixty Six was a Matrix salon; it must've been about March/April of this year that the salon re-branded, and became a L'Oreal salon.

A little while ago, the lovely ladies at the salon invited me to try out the new L'Oreal Mythic Oil Scalp Treatment, to experience alongside a cut and blow dry. Aside from having Olaplex treatments, I'm not usually one to go to a salon for a hair treatment, so I was super excited and obviously said yes! If you have coloured/damaged/dry hair, Olaplex is your new best friend. (You can thank me later).

As per, I went equipped with my salon essentials: an iPhone and the latest copy of LOOK magazine. As is always the case at Salon Sixty Six, I was not kept waiting, and before I knew it was relaxing in the chair having my hair washed!

The very first thing I want to say about the Mythic Oil range, is just that is smells absolutely incredible! Although this is clearly not the main focus of the range, it was the first thing that I, as a customer, noticed, and boy did it smell good, and left my hair smelling amazing for days. Even Harvey complimented me on the smell!

To begin with, I had my hair shampooed and conditioned with two of the products from the range; whilst my hair was still wet, the Mythic Oil serum was applied through the lengths of my hair, and was then blow dried into my hair, after a cheeky little scalp massage of course.

I'm desperately trying to grow my hair, and as it's currently still very short, I didn't have much of the length taken off on this occasion, and instead opted to have my hair thinned out. Michelle straightened my hair, and it was then that I really started to notice the difference the range had made to my hair! Whenever I straighten my hair at home, no matter how hard I try, I really, really struggle to get the ends looking sleek, and they just end up looking frazzled as they're so dry. After the Mythic Oil treatment, they were so hydrated, and didn't look or feel remotely frazzled or dry, total reversal!

I am not photogenic in the slightest, so you'll have to excuse the dodgy photos, but I hope you can appreciate just how sleek and shiny my hair looked after the treatment! I don't actually think these photos do it justice, but my hair was the shiniest it's ever been, literally for days afterwards!

One last thing I want to mention is the Shimmering Oil which was an absolute revelation. Not only can you mist this onto your hair to give it even more shine, but you can spray it into your hand and apply on to your skin!! I actually forgot to take a photo of my arm after Michelle had applied the Oil to my arm, and I'm so annoyed about that, because I just loved it. It looked incredible in the sunlight, and would look amazing in photos, so if you're off on holiday any time soon and looking for a dual purpose product to do both of these things, you should definitely pop into the salon and make a little purchase!!

All in all, I absolutely loved the Mythic Oil scalp treatment experience, and I would ten out of ten recommend. For just £5 you can add the treatment to your cut and blow dry, it's a no brainer, and I will definitely be doing this in the future!

Have you had this treatment before? Let me know what you thought!
